In Junctional Thinking podcast, hosted by Pierre Vigilance, alumni Daquawn Bruce (Senegal, 2017) and Priyanka Surio (India, 2011) share the global lessons they have learned abroad and how they are using it in their current careers. Priyanka Surio is the National Director for Data Analytics & Public Health Informatics at ASTHO, and DaQuawn Bruce is a Human-Centered Designer focused on community development. While their work is different, the tie that binds them is the experiences they shared working in India and Senegal.
The alumni also shared the skills they acquired from the Gilman Scholarship U.S. Future Leaders Entrepreneurship and Innovation Seminar held at the University of Texas, Austin from September 26-27, 2019.
Junctional Thinking is a place where creative problem-solving opportunities are explored and innovations that exist at “the junction”, defined as the intersection of health and social impact interventions.
