Deadlines & Timeline Overview
Students can study and intern abroad during the spring, summer, fall, winter, or academic year term. Refer to each term for specific dates on the deadlines and timelines for the application cycle. It is important that students apply for the correct scholarship term according to their program dates.

Please be aware that the application deadline is in Pacific Time (PT) and take into consideration any time difference as you prepare to submit your application. Late applications are not accepted.
Application Deadlines & Timeline
The March 2025 Deadline application is now closed for applicants whose abroad programs or internships start between May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026. This cycle encompasses Maymester 2025, Summer 2025, Fall 2025, academic year 2025-2026, and Spring 2026 abroad programs or internships. The application deadline was Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 11:59pm Pacific Time, and the advisor certification deadline was Thursday, March 13, 2025 at 11:59pm Pacific Time.
All applicants have been notified of their status via email. All advisors have also been notified of scholarship recipients via email and will have access to the status of each student in their Gilman advisor account.
If an applicant is not selected for the March 2025 Deadline, they may re-apply for the next cycle as long as they continue to meet the eligibility requirements and their program or internship falls within the start dates of that cycle.

The October 2025 Deadline application will open in mid-August 2025 for applicants whose abroad programs or internships start between December 1, 2025, to October 31, 2026. This cycle encompasses Winter or January term 2026, Spring 2026, Maymester 2026, Summer 2026, Fall 2026, and academic year 2026-2027 programs. The application deadline is Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 11:59pm Pacific Time, and the advisor certification deadline is Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 11:59pm Pacific Time.
