Gilman Scholar Amanda Mason’s study abroad in San Vicente, Ecuador in Spring 2019 immersed her with the local culture and exposed her to new opportunities. Amanda’s short video showcases heartwarming interviews with the locals and discusses the importance of Community and Experiential Tourism for the region.
“My experience opened my eyes to a new way of travel,” said Mason in the short video reflecting back on her two months in San Vicente, Ecuador. “It provided the opportunity to understand local cultures and learn traditions.”
