Organized and moderated by Gilman Alumni Ambassador Daniel Oliveira, Gilman Lusophone Connect will begin with Dr. Eugênia de Fernandes Ph.D., Continuing Lecturer at UC Davis, addressing the question, “Who are the Portuguese-speaking immigrants?”

There will be the opportunity to explore career resources related to the Portuguese language, learn about Portuguese-speaking countries through an interactive Socrative quiz, and have a brief time to practice language skills and get to know about each other’s experiences!

The event will be mainly in English, though Portuguese will be weaved in (with translations) throughout to provide you with an immersive experience. If you are interested, please register in advance.
